Meet the Owner

My name is Anne Monk and I have owned my villa since 1995. Since I bought it, I installed all new Italian ceramic tile floors throughout (upstairs and down), patios and courtyard.

I have also purchased all new furniture and appliances, so everything in the villa is brand new and sparkling clean!!

I was born in Canada, but have lived in the Caribbean for over 13 years, and just love the easy, laid-back lifestyle and the friendly people, not to mention the gorgeous weather.

I spent over 10 years on a little island off the coast of Puerto Rico, developing and managing an exquisite mini-resort, so I have extensive experience in the tourist industry.

I also belong to the Caribbean Hotel and Puerto Rico Hotel and Tourism Associations, which help me keep abreast of all the new developments in the tourist industry in the Caribbean.

I chose St. Maarten because of the European influence, the delightful outdoor cafes and restaurants, the duty-free shopping and the varied nightlife. There are over 30 different beaches to choose from, some very busy, for people watching, and many secluded, for a private swim and quiet afternoon.

Most of the time, though, I have everything I want just staying at home on my patio and watching the boat traffic, pelicans fishing, dolphins frolicking......or taking a swim either in the pool or the ocean.

As you would be booking your vacation directly with me, I will be able to provide you with all the personalized treatment you so rightly deserve. I can advise you on car rentals, entertainment, the best places to dine, either economically or expensively!, and generally help you have a great vacation by putting you abreast on everything you want to know about our Island.
